With bankruptcy looming for Delta Airlines, the question remains, what will happen to all of those people with Delta Skymiles?

If you look at other carriers who filed for bankruptcy, customers did not lose their frequent flier miles.

Delta may be a different story. They are much larger than any of the other carriers that went bankrupt. Also, anything can happen when a company claims bankrutcy. Thing of all of the money that Delta would save by not paying Skymiles.

Researching other options for Skymiles users, I find that there are not many. You can try to sell them on Ebay. This is not too good an idea as I have seen auctions for 30000 Skymiles going for only $100 (one hundred dollars).

You can also log in to the Delta Skymiles website and purchase magazines. The list of magazines is not too extensive, but at least you will get something for you money.
